Gift Giving DIY Herbal Tea!

Warm Their Hearts with this DIY Gift!

Written by Gayle

The holiday season is upon us, and I am on the lookout for great gift-giving ideas.  As I strolled through the aisles of my local Lassen’s I hit upon this idea:  My own herbal tea blends and tea-making gadgets!

So after I picked up some tea gadgets — a heart-shaped tea ball, and one with a spring mechanism — I went to the bulk herb section, and selected some tasty herbs.  This morning I mixed up some of my favorites, scooped them into a decorative jar (this one an up-cycled candle jar), added a ribbon and a label, and voila!  A simple and fun gift!  Maybe I’ll stop by the thrift store for some fun tea cups to complete the gift!

This spring-loaded tea ball keeps the herbs contained!
Add a little honey, maybe a squeeze of lime, and enjoy the warmth of herbal teas–for yourself and your loved ones!

Steep the herbs for about 10 minutes in boiled water.  Cover the tea while it steeps to keep it hot!
