There's no reason to give yourself over to a hot-wings-fat-and-sugar binge just because there's a big game! I've concocted a couple of team-spirit smoothies to bring some nutrition to your celebration! These recipes make about 5 cups each, but are easily doubled.

Ingredients

Carrot-Orange-Apple Bash:
2 cups carrot juice (fresh or from refrigerated case)
2 cups orange juice
1 apple, core removed
2 tsp fresh ginger (about a 1" x 1/2" chunk)
1 cup mango (frozen or fresh)
Juice of 1 lemon

Pineapple-Banana-Kale Smash:
2 cups Coconut Juice, Milk or Water
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pineapple (frozen or fresh)
1 avocado, pitted and peeled
1 banana
5 large kale leaves (remove the thickest part of the stem)
1 cup spinach
Juice of two limes
2 tsp ginger, if desired

Directions

Carrot-Orange-Apple Bash: Mix everything in a blender until smooth. Add more ginger if you'd like! Chill and stir before serving.

Pineapple-Banana-Kale Smash: Blend everything together until well mixed. Chill and then stir before serving.

No matter who you are cheering for, show your team spirit with these yummy and healthy smoothies! You'll have no regrets over these drinks!
